Really??? Why in the hell would anyone at Eagle vote "Yes" knowing they could flow? You can't be that much of an idiot can you?

Judging by a few of your posts recently, it's futile to argue with you. I can only hope one day you'll begin to see the big picture.

And btw, I pay around $350 a month for a family of four and typically credit 90 hours a month with 15 days off. Your numbers aren't really that impressive
Did you not read that I said Piedmont wasn't the best.............. But was far from the worst?? This vote will pass!! It's done! It's a wrap! If you are paying 350.00 in family insurance then you are paying double what I pay. Which means you are paying 1500.00 a year more for a family plan. Which airline do you work for? Because your numbers aren't really that impressive either

We work at a Regional! Get your time in and move on! The market will work all this out. If PDT's deal sucks then nobody will come here to fly. Right???

I read where you said Piedmont would not be lowering the bar. I provided evidence otherwise. You shot back with insurance premiums and work rules, and I used numbers you provided to show you that your example wasn't really that impressive.

It's pretty clear by now that you're willing to accept concessions from a company awash in record profits for new shiny jets. And, to hell with everyone else. Would you at least just admit it and stop trying to justify the concessions?

OK, I know that this issue is extremely emotional and hits close to home for a lot of guys. However...

From a businsess stand point, none of this matters. There are ALWAYS going to be guys willing to work for peanuts in order for a shot at the 'big time.' Always, always, always... As several people have pointed out, its the same in minor league sports, entertainment, etc...

Be honest... If every mainline carrier had the ability to fire EVERY pilot on staff and established a pay scale that started at $80k and capped at $175k (or $200k). How long do you think it would take to restaff the entire pilot pool? Less than 30 mins?

I know it sucks (EXTREMELY crappy compared to the good ole days at the mainlines), but its reality. If every regional voted NO, whats to stop Bob Entrepreneur from establishing his own carrier with a lower cost to contract with the mainline carriers?

Emotions aside... Cooperate and graduate. Help each other move up to where we all aspire to be...

I'll give you the good story - recency of experience after teaching for the last 6 yrs. No jet recency is the kiss of death (9400TT, 1400TPIC, 3 types- 2 corporate- former 121 CA, no accidents/incidents, no failures, published aviation safety author, keynote safety speaker, Fortune 100 Flight department consultant, etc.) the only thing I could put in the flight time grid at Delta, etc. was "25hrs Grumman Cheetah last 12 months." Unfortunately the regionals stop reading the resume once they see "ATP."

Probably the only first year FO with an Admiral's club membership. I feel for these 20 something's. My pay at Envoy is $400 a week (first year). I commute from DFW to ORD to sit five days of reserve for, at best, a single round. Love the people here, enjoy the jet, but the discretionary gravy train is running out. I didn't sign on to fly 15 hrs a month. Why Envoy? Better quality of life training in Dallas. I had to bury a family dog during training and my wife had surgery. Morale here is terrible and no one seems to care about those at the bottom of the list. So that's my story.

Have you thought about Mesa? They will have a large DFW base. DFW to ORD is about as bad as a commute gets, my condolences.

Got some offers contingent on another 75 hrs of flight time. Can't afford to take the time to re-enter another 2 months of training. Of course at Envoy that seems to take forever. I used to fly MU's for the fed and I've got a friend that will allow me to fly his to pick up the slack (for "free" of course to comply with the no outside commercial flying policy).

The commute is not bad this time of year, it's the endlessly sitting that's driving me crazy.
