Concessions-The AAG whipsaw next up: Piedmont

Here is a little insight into why Eagle said no....
F*ck Jerry Glass
Financing Corporate Bonuses
September 10, 2014
Fellow DFW Pilots,
In light of the recent breakdown in negotiations with the company, we think a brief history of executive compensations is prudent. In December of 2013, a week after taking over after the merger:
• CEO Doug Parker received a $15,590,728.56 "retention bonus"
• President J. Scott Kirby received $11,136,238.24
• COO Robert D. Isom received $7,795,351.84
• CFO Derek J. Kerr, received $6,681,747.92
• EVP Elise R. Eberwein, received $6,681,747.92
• EVP Stephen L. Johnson received $6,681,747.92
It took only seven days for the six most senior executives at the newly founded AAG to divide approximately $54,567,000 amongst themselves. That same week, Jerry Glass, a direct representative of the aforementioned executives, approached our MEC and demanded more concessions from the pilots, in addition to the $43 million concessionary bankruptcy contract signed the year prior. He threatened a Comair style shut down if we refused to capitulate.
Doug Parker earned $20.9 million in 2013, yet he demanded pay cuts from Envoy employees who, in some cases, struggle to feed their families. The most disgusting part of all of this is that the monetary value of all the demanded concessions was nowhere near the $54.5 million the executives divided amongst themselves. It is not the obligation of our labor group to finance the lifestyles of the wealthiest 1%.
I'm reminded of a quote from the former President of Kenya Mwai Kibaki:
"Leadership is a privilege to better the lives of others.
It is not an opportunity to satisfy personal greed."

This isn't a problem with pilots or even our industry, it's almost all of corporate america these days. This is a problem with this country. Greed has taken over. These scumbags are sucking the life out of this country until there won't be much left anymore. So why, WHY I ask would you give them even a penny more?

We all agree that it's not a great deal. Far from it. Even at our Roadshow there wasn't anyone doing chartwheels and twerking on the table saying, "Pay Raise Baby! Pay Raise for ALL!!!"
It was like watching a hand full of pilots that had taking it in the shorts for so long that we are kinda numb to it all. Many of us had blank stares. And our schedules were actually more of the talk then this TA.
So unless anyone of you have walked in the shoes of a Piedmont Pilot you might want to hold back on judgment.
Look at our history. Educate yourself of the industry that last 10 years. Watch how we have been sold down the river for over 10 years by the same people pointing fingers at us now. So unless your hands are clean then I suggest you keep your hands in pockets and just walk on by.
We don't like this deal. But I along with many won't fall on the sword for anyone else because those same people in the past didn't fight our fight and demand more. They sold there souls for the shiny jets running all around us like a bunch of child molesters in a chuck E cheese restaurant.
Like I said educate yourself about Piedmont the last 10 years.

You guys where screwed by PsA twice. One year ago, and now. Parker is betting for your Yes vote, so he can come around Envoy for another ****ty contract (I will vote No again) or merge us together. If you guys vote no, then he will be stuck with PSA only as their concessionary contract.
If you don't like a deal, why are you going to sign for it?
Good luck,,,in 2 days we will see.

They need as Many as they can. RAH is not filling their classes. PSA is the only one really growing and we don't know when their music will stop...
Keep it up guys, we stand by your side. Like I said, I would like them to merge Envoy with PDT, as far as there's no concessionary contract.
So, relax...there's pie for everyone.
