the tell alpa to have the contract for 3 years pnl;y. get the aircraft then negotiate pay is alpa BS. Why, your contract is for 10 years and no pay negotiated for 10 years, getting the aircraft then negotiate is again alpa BS.

As far as vacation accrual, Year 1= 5 days, year 2= 10 days, year 7= 15 days, and year 14= 20 days. You can usually average about 15 days off in a row with placement of 5 vacation days at Piedmont.

Keep the pay low and stuck without big raises. The company want to amend the contract now, will they accept if we want to amend it in 5 years? hELL NO!!!!
There you go...good luck to PDT guys. I smell some of the Envoy 700s there with a merge with PSA or Envoy. If is PSA they will be very happy when you take their fast upgrade.

So do u guys realize that if PDT accepts the TA every PDT pilot gets a pay raise? People keep telling us PDT pilots to not accept this TA but I just wanted to point out if we accept this TA I get a $20 an hour raise.
Now for the record I'm marginally against it because I feel the TA is just below industry standard for 76 seat aircraft and agreeing to a 10 year contract is just plain stupid but ALPAs motto has always been get the aircraft on property then negotiate up. I just wanted people outside PDT to know we all get a significant raise if we accept this TA.

Virgin America, Alligiant pay less for the Airbus and MD80's. Better go let them know "it ain't right either"
Bottom line this contract isn't the best. And only the response by pilots will be the big determiner. If it sucks so bad nobody will step foot here except all the Pilot Misfits. And how many of them are left.
That's why I believe Management put openers in the contract. People stop coming here then they sweetin' the deal.

Of course it isn't right. And paying those wages won't have people knocking down the doors either will it? Southwest used to pay the lowest wages in the industry back in the early 90's. Anyone Remember that??? It was the airline everyone went to that couldn't get hired at the other majors. Kinda like the island for pilot misfits. Not only was the pay the lowest but you also had to buy your own 737 type rating.

Can anyone point to an airline where getting the Aircraft on property and then negotiating has worked?

If by trip touch you mean that if a vacation day touches any part of a trip, then that entire trip is dropped. Then yes, that's exactly what Piedmont has.
