And any more updates on when if ever the other bases will begin see the 145s? Maybe a new base altogether?

Well you no longer have the sign on bonus. You will get a retention bonus though, so really it's not bad. Don't get me wrong, you will make good money. I just don't think we should become complacent and accept the current pay rates when others (Endeavor) are getting paid what they're worth

"AA commits to offer in seniority order to Piedmont pilots, in each calendar year, the lesser of
(a) twenty-five percent (25%) of all New Pilot Positions filled (subject to standard rounding) in that calendar year, or

(b) three (3) New Pilot Positions (increased by 1 for every 125 pilots
above the base number of 350 on the Piedmont seniorty list) times (“x”) the number of calendar months in that calendar year in which AA actually hired pilots for New Pilot Positions."

Straight from the horses mouth.

The other bases will close down. Don't expect another jet base for a little while

PHL will be the only current base with the jet it seems.

There will be a second jet base, maybe even a third and AA will dictate when Piedmont gets to announce a new base.

DCA would be my guess if AA decides to take 50 seat ERJ flying from TSA and give it to PDT. If not, CLT because it’s AAs other high income fortress hub on the east coast and we service it a lot with our -8s and AWAC is leaving the American system. And that’s also where the training center is.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out either way.

So roa and syb will both close and be replaced by on or two unknown bases? Is there anything in the flow contact about Piedmont’s ability to meter the flow?

That seems to be the base plan.

Flow can not be metered (as long as AA is having classes that month). Baseline is the lesser of 25% of AA new hires for the month or 4/month based on 350? pilots and increases by 1/month that AA hires for every 125 pilots Piedmont adds to the seniority list. I don’t believe flow can decrease due to attrition either.

I think we are at or near the 6/month for flows.

Purely my speculation, but I would wager a reasonable guess that CLT will be the next base.

Allegedly (and according to a reliable source), there will be a small number of jet lines in CLT beginning sometime around the new year, probably with crews originating in PHL for the time being. Hoping it's an indication of CLT as an eventual base.

Time will tell.

No way man, 10k retention next year and upgrade.... I've averaged 170 hours of pay credit since coming on the line.

So what you’re saying is our contractual pay rates at our min guarantee aren’t enough for you, so you work extra.

And that 10k you speak of will be maxed out at 7.5k total since new hire, if you upgrade. I’m not trying to be a jerk, just showing that our situation can and should be much better, and no one should sit content where we are
