Yep. Recently one of my referrals hit me up to let me know he was at endeavor thanks to their TA.

Looking through the seniority list, some classes in training have lost close to 20%... word is to places with better schedules and pay.

A computerized scheduling system with SAP like PSAs (without PBS strings attached) would fix the scheduling issues and a match of Endeavors TA would quickly fix this trend before it became a crisis. Hopefully AA acts before we池e having problems filling classes of two... again.

Im very curious what the training dept at envoy got upgraded to. Maybe pdt needs to think about the same thing for SOE capts and sim instructors... What would be a reasonable retention bonus to avoid new hires teaching new hires?
Most instructors as Skywest make 150-180. Still might not he enough to retain the experience. Would love to see $90/50 for first year pay here.

We are losing a handful of soe and instructors soon it looks like.. it will severely handicap us if that happens.

Oh this is going to be interesting starting in Jan. By summer we flow a chunk of the senior flight instructors.

Been lurking here for a while. I知 at the point where I値l be applying to regionals in the next month or two. I read things like this about Piedmont and it makes me think twice about applying. Am I right to be concerned or is it like this at most regionals these days?

Folks leaving via the flow and OTS hiring just opens up positions for others who致e done a good job to move up, build their resume and move on.

They値l rebuild the cadre of instructors and they値l continue to produce line pilots.

The inefficiency of the training department equates to a lot of time off. I live in base and between waiting on training or reserve or build up lines I have worked less then 1.5 of the 2 years I have been here. I have loved it.
I know other people have gotten worked hard but it hasn稚 been me. So that is my experience.

What's the current delay in the new hire training pipeline? I've heard everything from a one month training gap to a five month gap.

Your rumors sound about as accurate as my rumors. I have heard of people getting through quickly (a 1 month wait). I have also heard of people going slowly (a 5 month wait).

I was in transition class last month with new hires from July Indoc classes some of whom are in the sim now. So that would be roughly a 3 month sit in total.

All regionals are losing people.. we are small so everyone hears about who is interviewing or leaving. I wouldn't be overly concerned other than us complaining about nothing.

Pick the regional that you don't have to commute too far for, makes you money or max time off as or allowed quick advancement.. only you can decide.

PDT was the right choice for me and we have a good future ahead of us.
