For those that are hired, during the gap between indoc and systems (I hear it's 3-4 months) is it accepted by the company to work other flying jobs? I would assume they would want you to stay out of trouble and not risk getting a violation or anything like that.
Aside from what they officially say, is it prudent? I.e. if you show up to systems and aren't really sharp and they find out you were working another job, that might make some waves right?

Republic. Just speculation but apparently they're already in contract negotiations and I have a few friends over there who said first year pay will likely be above $50 an hour.

AA has already seens its WOs struggle to fill classes of 2-4 last time it let their pay lag tens of thousands behind the top paying regionals. The AA WOs will see competitive pay near endeavor and whoever else marches them within 12-18 months of those new rates going into effect depending on how quickly applicants ignore the flow and go after the $$$.

The good news is Delta WO set a new precedent of pay rates and not just a bonus. So that means raises for everyone not just year 1-3.

Pretty crazy change from the not so long distant history when it was total opposite. Delta mashed Pinacolaba together put the gun to their head and said sign this trash or we will furlough 1400 pilots and fly around as a 30 900 airline. They needed this bad from thr years of abuse. Their pay rate is like dash rates.. I dont think AA is gonna approach pdt or others until they need to. But, hope im wrong and thet offer same rates to all 3 wholly owns.
