They Skipped a new hire class in August and allegedly December is going to be a smaller class, so it should cut down the delay by 4-6 weeks between indoc and ground school and more SOE Captains should reduce the delays after sims by the end of the year.
A buddy of mine was hired in April/May (perhaps even earlier). Still hasn’t gone to ground school or sims yet. He was told they can’t tell him how much longer the delay will be.

That's interesting because the current ground school has the remaining May hires and some June hires in it. This class was finishing up QPT.

Maybe he fell through the cracks, maybe there are also others?

He possibly made a request to attend a family event, take a trip etc., that caused them to defer him to a later date, or never sent an initial email to the training department after getting his accounts setup.

Nope none of that occurred, he did all that was required and did not ask for any extra time.

These May hires you speak of going through ground school when are they hitting the Sims?

Perhaps he fell through the cracks, but if he legitimately believed that happened he should probably take steps to make sure they know they missed him.

You seem to be taking more of an interest in finding answers than your friend is... No one should care about his career more than him...

look at the seniority list and see when your buddy was hired. yes they are in the June class people. Newest class starts tomorrow (I think).

Sorry, for clarification... Hired or indoc in April or May? if he was hired and not indoc'ed then, that means he went to indoc possibly in July. Again I would look at where he is on the seniority list since you know his name and then a lot of this will make better sense. PM me and I can help get him into a new hire group that can help him figure it out.

Ok so I just clarified with him. He went to Indoc in June (i think towards the start). Still hasn’t gone back for ground school. Still no word on ground school/systems and certainly no direction on when Sims will be.

The way things are panning out it’s possible he will be with the company for 12 months by the time he gets fully checked to line.

I’m Guessing things should speed up for new hires once the new Sims come online and the bottleneck is cleared
