Yes, if you commute then the 190 is a great plane. You'll sit reserve for a few months the trips are nice and like you said you bid off of it and get awarded a Group 2 plane before your year is up. You'll shoot up the seniority list and then by the time you go to the Bus you'll be off reserve also. (depending on base).

I'm about to hit 3 year pay and they are still holding me on it. Flying a 190 with a killer schedule and making about over 1 fiddy an hour ain't a bad gig.

Two flights a day and the rumor mill starts churning. PSA guys think they're getting a PHL base too

I wouldn't worry about it. PHL has too many regional flights for us to have them all. We will have our hands full doing a lot of what AWAC was doing...LGA and BOS psuedo-base flights, Canada, etc... I wouldn't be surprised to see more LGA as time goes on and more 145's are transferred. As for Republic...if the WO hiring can continue, I think AA is best served bringing as much flying in house as they can.

I wouldn't worry. We're doing some LGA flights that Envoy does next month, as well as a lot of Air Wisconsin flights to and from BOS. Plus Canada, too. Point is, we all share the trips and pick up slack where it's needed.

What is the current delay in training at Piedmont looking like? Any hope for this delay getting better soon rather than worse?

It seems like its just fly through. We aren't hearing anything about a base.

Good to see you back Billy. Glad things are going smooth for ya and the pay is good. Where I live I’ll able to sit rsv from my basement in either Philly or dc. Gonna miss nov draft date due to the axed oct class, but it’s all good. Get the holidays off and prolong the brutal pay cut that awaits me for 12 months. Hoping for dc 73, but I’ll be smiling ear to ear if it’s the 190 w almost the same excitement.

For most recent classes it’s been about 16 weeks between the first day of indoc and the start of ground school and a 7-8 week delay between sims and flights.

They Skipped a new hire class in August and allegedly December is going to be a smaller class, so it should cut down the delay by 4-6 weeks between indoc and ground school and more SOE Captains should reduce the delays after sims by the end of the year.
