The 12 days off will help a bit. I have 2 4 day off stretches and 2 2 day off next month month. I am ending this month and starting next month with a 4day/2day (6 day stretch of work). Then 3 4 day and 1 3 day trips to work. Will likely credit 90 hours before any over blocking.

With all the super critical (3 x $146 per hour @ CA year one) available right now plenty of people are trading days off for $$$. That has always been management’s counter argument to improving schedules here… forever.

I can count on one hand how many times I HAD to do a 5/2 opposed to choosing to do 5/2…most are 4/2 with a couple 4/3

then you must be senior to me. I’ve been involuntarily assigned 6 day stretches of reserve, or had 4 and 2 day trips stacked 9 times in the last 3 months

Default Bonus Payback

Has anyone had any experience paying back retention bonus after leaving? Especially curious how that went if paying back during the same tax year. I heard somewhere that we are able to change our withholding exemptions for the month that we get the bonus so that Piedmont does not take the taxes out, which would make it easier to pay the whole thing back within 30 days.

What is the "New Generous Commuting Policy" that is on the updated company website? Doesn't state any details.

Protections on commuting offline now... Doesn't just have to be AAL carriers. Correct me if I'm wrong

I'm sure you guys have already heard AA has a new deal presented to the APA. Big pay raises and QOL improvements that Piedmont pilots will be able to take full advantage of after completion of their flow. For the pilot still at Piedmont and are not flowing just yet, open your mouths wide and look to the sky as the tasty gravy and nectar fall from the AA gods. In other words, get ready for even bigger pay incentives and bonuses coming your way. It's inevitable.

Trust me, the gravy is tasting real good.

The pay raises were underwhelming to say the least. Average 6 percent increase... Pay rates are short term too.. they are not keeping up with inflation.

Big pay raises at AA? Where? The ones AA sent to APA today barely keep up with past inflation. AA starting pay needs to be $150/hr and there needs to be a 45% pay raise across the board on top of every other proposed improvement. The AA pay raises are mediocre at best.

Strongly considering not taking my CJO at EDV and coming to Piedmont. MDT is an absolute killer of a commute for me though, easily a two hopper. I’m a mil guy so I can’t leave my home city but CLT and PHL are both fairly easy 1 leg commutes for me. With that said is MDT junior? Likelihood of getting MDT out of training?
