Only people in my class that had a hard time didn’t study outside of school as hard as they should’ve. Both while we were at the training center and while we were at home waiting to go back

From the people I know and speak to, Piedmont is the best and fastest way to get there. Despite all I read about the pilot shortage and all, I don't see any other way other than Piedmont. I know I have a while before I can make it, but you have to keep your on the prize.
Keep at it young man, your future is bright.

thanks man… I take my training very seriously. I’m actually in the aircraft maintenance side transitioning to the flight deck, as airplane owner and CFII I keep current with my instrument flying skills and studying. Now using the King course prepping for my ATP training when the time comes. With that being said I expect not have any problem on the flight department side of the business. Thanks for the insight.

Hello guys,

I got an email for Piedmont saying

"Thank you for your application with Piedmont Airlines. We are currently reviewing applications and you have been selected to move forward in the hiring process.

An Air Operations Recruiter will be reaching out to you soon to arrange a time to further review your application, discuss your qualifications, and share with you more information about our interview process."

But no update since then.

Those who have gotten this same email, how long did it take to get to the next step?

Does anyone know what the 10-15 min phone call with the recruiter before the interview entails?

Also, are interviews through Teams/Zoom or in person in Charlotte?

Possible to ask for the interview to be done virtually?

The next step in my aviation journey is to get my Private and built flight time towards my Instrument. This way I have a chance to be accepted as a Piedmont Cadet. It's a one in a lifetime opportunity for us and Im not about to let it go.
They might not be around as you know it in time for you to make it to the line. Seniority list is down to 652 pilots with only about 570 actively flying. Attrition still out pacing hiring and it’s not even summer time yet.

Everything was virtual through teams. The phone call was just a presentation about Piedmont. You can ask questions if you have any. It was a straightforward interview on Teams where they asked about some Metars, brief a Jepp plate with a weird ASOS that is co-located with the VOR frequency, and a few questions about drunk captain, etc. They also show a picture of a Thunderstorm anvil and ask what direction you should fly around a thunderstorm and how far you should be from it. As long as you know information about weather, approach plates, and brush up on Metar codes like SQ, GR, BR, etc you'll be fine. It took about an hour for the interview, two guys asking questions. You don't need to know all the answers, if you don't know just be honest and say you would look it up.
