I never got the hate on the CPO. I cant speak on the CLT office but everyone in PHL was approachable and straightforward. I had my fair share of "life events" happen and CD and JP both took care of things for me when I needed it. Compare notes with some of our colleagues at other regionals and I think you'll find that we have a pretty good relationship with management. I never got any pushback asking for extra fuel, or a new route around weather, or refusing an aircraft for maintenance issues. Some of my friends at other airlines have had issues with things like that.
The contract, on the other hand, could definitely use some improvements, especially if recruiting/ retention is a goal.

I mean, I see your point. I try to give the CPs the benefit of the doubt. I know they have a lot on their plates and could probably use more support staff.
However, a CP is supposed to have the pilots' backs and act as a bridge between the union/pilot group and upper/high management. However, at Piedmont more often than not, the CPs (one in particular) act more like cops and Gestapo than as someone who has the pilots' backs.

The most desired places have delays to get class dates because lots of pilots want to go there. Piedmont is very short staffed so they’re happy to get you started early and you don’t have a lot of competition to get a class date.

I’m almost done with sims and will have been 3 months from start of indoc to finishing sims. I’ve heard IOE wait is anywhere between a week to a couple months.
