It should not be called a Junior Man. The new phrase I would like to see put into use is; “it doesn’t matter how senior you are person”.

Can someone please explain how junior manning works at PDT?
If you get a line that say has 13-14 days off do they end up just assigning more work during the month to bring you down to 11-12 or do you just end up getting extended on days you were already working?

yes to both. More likely than not they assign you additional flying during the interface period which is the first 4 days of the month which isn’t a jr man at all; sometimes without actually having to pay you more if your assigned line credits under the 75 hr min guarantee

Company can extend up to 4 hours at end of your trip, no limitations on the number of timez. JR. Man is if the extention takes you beyond 4 hours past your scheduled end time. Can go into next day. Company can Jr

Always plan on having 11 days off at PDT.

It's sad to see what has happened to what was once the premier regional airline under the AA brand. I rememember not long ago during COVID how PDT came out the gate like a freaking bulldog ready to snatch up any flying and grow the operation while not furloughing a single pilot. They were freaking beast level, ask anybody how good things were going in 2020/2021 when the airlines were coming out of the pandemic.
Between all the majors hiring in record numbers and the flow, there's only so much PDT can do to retain pilots. But even though you guys are flying lots and working hard, remember there is always that light at the end of the tunnel.

Possible but unlikely looking at latest permanent bid. Maybe only on or two months out of OE in PHL before you could make the move. All that can change with attrition. The 5 or so months inside the initial Training footprint really doesn’t matter.
