The 145 is a dying aircraft and is circling the drain, everyone knows it. United and Delta are already cutting out 50 seat flying (besides the CRJ550 stuff). Piedmont will have to either get 175s at some point or that 145 flying will need to go to someone else (looking at you Skywest and Republic).

Heck, if AA would start hiring wholly own regional pilots instead of ignoring us and letting United and Delta take us maybe we would be happier with our current **** quality of life.

What is the number of flow to AA? How many off the street / outside of flow from Piedmont to AA in Dec?

AA is metering the OTS hiring from WO carriers. Regardless of what their recruiters tell you, numbers don't lie.

Piedmont flows 6 per month per the contract. Only 1 to 2 per month hired to American outside the flow recently. The December numbers are not officially out. An additional 6 CAs and 5 FOs go elsewhere per month on average to other carriers. About 700 or so pilots on our Seniority list.

It also seems United is specifically targeting our CAs, so I guess it evens out.

The numbers certainly don't lie, but they also don't prove this fictitious situation you've made up in your mind. The number leaving off the street to AA has been almost the same, if not more, than the number of flows in the past few classes.

What was the point of your post? Do you even work here? FFS they hired Garrett.

As an aside, all that totals to be about 1/3 of the pilots attrition per year. If Piedmont loses like the entire regional airlines are forecast to, that will increase to 1/2 of the pilots attrition per year.

Stated in numbers, instead of losing a total of 19 per month, they will lose a total of 30 per month.

Agree. This requires a larger percentage of qualified pilots at Piedmont to actively try and move on. COVID woke up our pilot group a great deal but probably not to the extent of the non-flow FFD regionals.

I’m assuming words can’t describe that big announcement…
