no point in becoming a cadet at PDT. Sure they have great propaganda and make it look like a sweet deal. However, please see past that. There is still zero reason for a perspective new hire to consider PDT until quality of life issues are addressed and PDT is brought up to industry standards.
PDT pilots are subject to a life far inferior than their counter parts in the regional industry. If you want a cadet program or an AA WO than go for PSA or Envoy. Stay clear of PDT until they actually start being a leader and take care of their flight crews by granting them things that everyone else in the industry already has. PDT is a lot of talk and very little action.

Man look through all the past posts. Nothing has changed.11 days off a month, unable to credit north of 80 hours a month unless you pick up flying on your days off. Crap schedules with some days having 5 legs. Min rest overnights. Awful management that openly violates the contract. Seniority at piedmont means nothing, still same crap schedules. I encourage you to read through past posts or talk to some pilots at piedmont that you may know.
But here is a recent fun one, Piedmont pilots do not get holiday pay. There recently was a big holiday called Thanksgiving. There are other holidays coming up. Piedmont pilots do not get paid extra for working on a holiday. PSA pilots do, and i’m not sure about Envoy but I believe they do as well.

What made me choose PSA was of course reading the Piedmont forum, the SAP at PSA, and accelerated pay credit at PSA as well.

I was considering Piedmont vs PSA and was very oblivious to the QOL and pilot treatment of Piedmont, up until I read this forum, and it made my choice very clear. Reading these forums really encouraged my decision to 100% go to PSA. Currently waiting to start there soon.

^ exactly this right here. Your QOL at PSA will be far superior than if you came to Piedmont. You’re going to have more days off, you’re going to make more money, you’re going to have more control over your schedule, you’re going to fly newer aircraft, you’re going to have better trips with better overnights, oh and you are still going to have flow.
You made the right choice.

Hi everyone,
My name is Billy and I'm 15 years old. I have always wanted to be an airline pilot and have recently started flight lessons. I enjoy flying and can't see myself doing anything else. My cousin is a PIC at Piedmont Airlines and has been helping me a lot. I want to work for Piedmont Airlines when I get the hours and reach minimum age. He really likes working there. Over Thanksgiving, he showed me his paycheck at the dinner table. The one after you guys got those bonuses. I was impressed. Think it's an awesome job.
So just wanted to say hi and say I can't wait to fly for Piedmont one day!
Billy
