You could be right as I said the next 3 years at PDT might not be as quick as the first 3 I had. I just have a feeling Piedmont will find a way to have too many captains moving needing tons of FOs upgrading don’t you?

Here is the bigger picture you just keep on missing my main point. I says it then you respond with all negativity with Piedmont. Other airlines have negatives. PSA is running FOs back to requal
in the left seat. They’ve always had more staffing and reserves meaning less flying for reserves leading to longer upgrades. I don’t know exactly what’s going on at other regionals, I know there were a lot of furloughs and downgrades which doesn’t seem like it would help make things move quickly for a new hire from my perspective. You say it’s 3 years to upgrade at Piedmont but how do you know that? How do you know it’s not 4.5 years at PSA then perms reserve over there? That’s the point, all regionals have issues. I citied earlier before the pandemic a PSA pilot said screw PSA I’m going to Piedmont. I know an FO who said it was a year and a half for reserve in PHL. You want to say cold hard facts. Well here is a cold hard fact all regionals have their flows and fair share of unhappy people. This forum is way more negative about Piedmont then people in person.

Remember everyone, things do suck right now, not much hiring or movement but that’s due to a pandemic that’s hopefully ending. You think their was movement at PSA or republic? No people got downgraded. Idk about a lot of you but half the months last year had so many days dropped with pay and full min guarantee retaining my seat. Could’ve been a lot worse. “Hey look at that green grass over their!”

I should definitely proof read more they all have their flaws* I swear I passed English I am just a lazy proof reader

I agree with TJEFF in the regards that the grass always looks greener, but every regional has its flaws. The bigger issue does piedmont have a future. If it doesn’t why would anyone come here. 50 seaters are phasing out, this is a known fact, but with the new passenger weights I think they will be forced to phase out even quicker. Where does that leave us?

as the 50 seaters are being phased out, do you think piedmont will also have plans for a fleet upgrade?

I think we’re a little late to the game for trying to start a new fleet type. Piedmont took a very long time bringing the 145 on the line.
American gave republic 175s that were slated to envoy. They didn’t give them to us.

I’m not trying to be negative. This is just observations. I can only hope for the people at piedmont if it does come to an end American will atleast give everyone future class dates. It wouldn’t cost them anything, but at the same time the flow is not guaranteed.

Maybe someone else on here has more insight than I do, and can discredit everything I have said.

Clearly you didn’t read the email closely. The class dates are 08/26, 09/30, 10/14, 10/28. That’s pretty much one class /month…. with maybe 1 class in November, and maybe 1 class in December.

You should read it closer too. There’s also a 9/9 class.

And upgrades are contingent that their are FOs to cover the flying. Which was also in the email .

Again, you are wrong.

Aug 26th one upgrade from this bid to fill the class of 12

Sep. 9th

Sep 30th

Oct 14th

Oct 28th.

They didn’t put a November or December class on this bid because, umm I wonder why. Because this bid is effective November 1st.

I forgot that running two classes “is pretty much running one class a month”. Lol that makes no sense at all.

but I forgot. Since piedmont interfaced you or put you on RAS when you commute, it is now your duty to bash piedmont and spread false information.
