The young pilots come on here looking for honest info about Piedmont. I am offering my honest opinion on how Piedmont is superior in nearly every category: pay, QOL and career advancement.
Take it from me, as someone who has been in this industry a LONG time, Piedmont is an excellent choice to build time for a few years before moving onto the career destination. This is even more true if you live near CLT or PHL.
There's something special about a Piedmont pilot that's hard to put your finger on. But this place makes a good pilot a great one. You will treasure the experiences you have at Piedmont forever.
To be honest, you're helping no one here with your constant negativity. You don't work at Piedmont and it seems you never have. Maybe time to grow up a little bit, no?

Also, PDT isn’t superior in any of those areas and should be avoided at all costs by anyone entering the 121 world. Anyways, it looks like you have a few days off (in a row!!) so go enjoy them instead of wasting everyone’s time on here. Peace! 😉

You honestly think he's going to flow? I doubt it. What is he like, mid to late 50s? I highly doubt he will flow and be bottom of the seniority list commuting for maybe 5-8 years of mainline AA life, his ego couldn't take that. He has it pretty cushy being the CP of PDT and driving to work (when he decides to show up) and being home every night and never working weekends. Pretty sure he is a PDT Llifer. He clearly loves the power that he has and with no repercussions for any of his actions. My money is on him probably gunning for a higher position in PDT rather than flowing to AA.

+1 here…he’s enjoying his gravy train at PDT. he takes as much as he can from the pilot group until MK has to come in and clean up his mess. ive seen it with my own eyes, he’s his own worst enemy. most of the time he’s been wrong and either it worked it self out and he thought he was in the right or MK had to inform jonnyjetprop how to keep out of trouble and fix the issue.
while we all move on to bigger and better things, hell do the dirt work at the regionals and burn more bridges.
keep up the good work, TYFAYD

You’ve been in the industry since January 2017, at least on the airline side of it and not the flight instructor side… I, along with quite a few here, know exactly who you are with 100% certainty. NO question whatsoever.

Is it true that hiring will increase big time in the fall? I have been thinking about jumping ship to PDT. I hear nothing but good things about the operation from current guys flying there. Thanks for any info.
