Considering Piedmont since I live within 2hrs of CLT. I understand the place isn't perfect but CLT is the only regional base I could drive to and I have not heard anything from PSA. Is CLT junior on the FO and/or captain side? I haven't seen anything about junior bases on here in a while. I also see that CLT is one of the potential locations for part of training, any say on where you go or if a local could get it?
It's really a family atmosphere at Piedmont; small mom-and-pop kind of feel to it. You will do all your training in CLT, so you'll feel right at home. As far as flying there, CLT has proven to be a mega-fortress for AA and it's their long-term plan to grow it. You will be in a great spot since Piedmont will be growing its CLT operation to align with AA's future goals.
Sounds like you have all the reasons you need to fly at Piedmont. Driving to work is a great choice!

Take it from me, as someone who has been in this industry a LONG time, Piedmont is an excellent choice to build time for a few years before moving onto the career destination. This is even more true if you live near CLT or PHL.
There's something special about a Piedmont pilot that's hard to put your finger on. But this place makes a good pilot a great one. You will treasure the experiences you have at Piedmont forever.
To be honest, you're helping no one here with your constant negativity. You don't work at Piedmont and it seems you never have. Maybe time to grow up a little bit, no?

The young pilots come on here looking for honest info about Piedmont. I am offering my honest opinion on how Piedmont is superior in nearly every category: pay, QOL and career advancement.
Take it from me, as someone who has been in this industry a LONG time, Piedmont is an excellent choice to build time for a few years before moving onto the career destination. This is even more true if you live near CLT or PHL.
