just joking.. i rarely bid bup... everytime i have the schedule built for me ii is brutal and the reserve days are always ras now. Be thankful you paroled before RAS, airport standby.

Our ras is now 8 airport sits up to 8 hours every month.. nothing like being reserve on call at 5am and at 2pm getting a call that you have to sit ras 4pm to 9pm... and than at 855 telling you your overnighting in ART.. argue that it's it's not 117 legal and a they do everything in their power to convince you that "you have to do it" and they can fly you to 11pm.... new tricks... old game..

Other new game... put you on ras.. give you an out and back.. you get back they put you back on ras than give you another flight to overnight you... our jr reserve guys are walking around like zoombies right now.

Covid has caused a group of FOs and CA to be on reverberate forever... as we shrink the stagnation is going to be miserable.. especially if we keep losing FOs at the rate that we are.

sounds very, very fatiguing to me.

Pretty sure this isn’t legal….

“The FAA has said that the FDP clock runs until the end of the Table B or C limit unless the company releases the pilot. Until a system establishing a “positive release mechanism” is created, the FDP will be considered to end at block in on the last leg unless previously assigned otherwise.”

Yup. They are making up all kinds of rules right now with reserves and ras - it’s ridiculous. Like I understand we are short staffed but they are straight up just violating the contract and the regs doing very shady things to make it work for “operational needs”. Throw in the constant pressure to close the door on time since that is all they care about and the multiple threats of section 19s I keep hearing about - it’s beyond insane.

The ship is taking on water. Can’t wait to see what lies and little information they give in the town hall next week, probably going to be another joke and waste of all our time.

We have brought that that argument to company.. everyone on reserve is now ASAPing it.. along with grieving it. Piedmont is operating under the fly and grieve it mentality.. unfortunately some of the grievances are going to cost a cash strapped company some bucks. I know the bridge grievance is costing the company allot of moolah it has no budget for...

What a joke.. play stupid games.. win stupid prizes..

With the reshuffling from the most recent permanent bid, CLT went way senior compared to where it was. No new hire is gong to hold CLT within a year at least.

On another note, if you plan to commute at Piedmont forget having a commuter policy because even that is getting abused.

“The Company is now charging pilots for a use of the commuter policy if the Company positive spaces the pilot to work after a pilot is unable to get on their first flight option.”

It’s going to get even worse. Outside of normal expected attrition, I know of at least 10 other CA’s and FO’s with CJO’s from UA or LCC’s. Maybe management knows it, expects it and doesn’t care, or maybe they’re just unprepared.
Either way, if I should quit picking up premium or double premium since they would have no choice but to give triple premium if no one wants to work it. At least PDT would then be worth it.

and wow with that email from the union we all just got it confirms that management and a certain johnnyjetprop do not care about their pilots. Literally straight up abusing their workforce and violating the pilot union contract on a daily basis. Calling pilots to ask them why they called out sick? How is this CP still employed at PDT? Wasn’t he just in the news for an email he sent to tall the pilots during peak covid saying that he won’t allow pilots to be released from work to get vaccinated. Wow, just wow.
