Two things. It’s in the HR section of the secure part of the website. Second, I said there are “plans.” No one creates a form and posts it to their website without having a reason to do so. Regardless of whether they make it mandatory or not, that meets the definition of planning.

The company got an article written about them in a national publication about their practices around not letting pilots get vaccinated if they have work. The FAA requires you to ground yourself for a period after getting the vaccine. The paperwork let’s you get the vaccine and notify the company so that your flying gets covered without going through the traditional sick call. It’s just a streamlined way to accomplish this. You made the mandatory part up

mostly gonna echo santicomb here

think of how much they’ve added to the website lately. want to trade? do it on the website. check in? do it on the website. want to get time off for your vaccine? do it on the website.

all of this reduces the amount of emails and makes it easier for management to give you time off to get your vaccine. makes sense to me when you’ve got 1000+ flight crew members who are willing to get vaccinated and need the required time off.

Training department is saying AA came to all three WHOs to increase flow to “catchup” and PDT is the only one that said no, we can’t staff that? Did we just jump back to 2019?

We basically are at 2019 levels of being short staffed. Incredible, isn't it?

Considering that AA tells us when and how much we can hire, and well they make the rules, I'd say you need to stop believing every rumor you hear.
