I know it’s be said time and time again, but I think I should say it one more time in case anyone has any doubts.
Every PDT guy I run into has nothing but good things to say about pay, QOL, and morale. I had no idea how good things were going with you guys and how sharp your management team is.
Sounds like a great time to be a PDT pilot. You're putting yourselves in a position to be the premier AA WO'd.

If you wanna defend your management for not letting you guys get what everyone else does, go for it. There’s a guy on Instagram you should follow, flywithGarrett. No skinny arms and a gf, sounds like your cup of tea

Other than the 2 classes held in March that was about it. However, I would not consider that hiring since those classes were merely to fill the void created by pilots (mostly first officers) that left the airline during the past year.
Fun fact, PDT is understaffed for the amount of flying AA wants/expects it to do, but PDT management will try to "make it work", as long as they can for as cheaply as possible without expanding the number of pilots on property.
If the current pilot group stops picking up open flying for nothing less than triple premium pay it could force the airline to finally expand their pilot group. However, until that happens, I would not expect to see PDT hire until they start losing pilots to AA again via the flow whenever AA holds new hire classes again.

We’ve been down this road before, triple premium does not and will not force them to do anything. It’s already accounted for. Remember we take the lunch money from dad. If we have extra money after lunch we spend it on what we choose and dad doesn’t seem to care. Plus getting any sort of unity in terms of picking up flying for “x” pay is tricky in the least. Don’t ever get your hopes up nor try to quarterback that.
Exactly. I'm just saying PDT will not be hiring or expanding the total number of pilots on property. They will extend pilots, Jr man pilots, use and abuse RSV pilots, and enough pilots will pick up PRM or DBL PRM on their days off to continue to make the operation run. As usual, the can will be kicked down the road and PDT will limp along.
