No chance of 76 seat flying at PDT unless, AA slashes 76 feed from another carrier or scope is negotiated with mainline (probably the worst thing that could happen #voteno) neither of which seem very likely in the next few years.
Preferential hiring at the other 2 wholly owns

Envoy’s 145 won’t get parked, the thought/plan is they trickle down to PDT as Envoy transitions to be a sole 175 operator. This does not mean that PDT grows beyond operating 60 some aircraft at a given time - most likely PDT retires a jet and than gets a jet from Envoy and maintains a consistent number of aircraft at a time. The 145s will stay at PDT until they run out of useful life and than they will be parked for good or sold to other countries where laws are different.
The 145s aren't going anywhere for a while, AAG has made that clear. They are the only 50 seaters left in the system and they fill a necessary niche, particularly in this environment. With that said, it's been stated time and time again PDT will stay at 55 jets for the next few years at least. Unless PDT grows its pilot group and begins flying out of a number of other AA hubs, it's not getting anymore 145s. Envoy has the staffing they need, so why transfer them? Not like they have any more 175s coming (let's not forget AAG just gave both Republic and SkyWest more 175s). And I feel like this is said over and over again but the 145 does not "time out" at any point.

You really think there is an accurate 5 year regional fleet plan at AAG right now? They don't even know what the next 6-12 months holds. None of us do.

Ultimately it probably doesn't matter.

My understanding is that within the next 3-5 years, all of the EMB-145s start seeing calendar maintenance inspections that might render them uneconomical.

EMB likely doesn't have the desire or cash to do the aging aircraft studies to prolong the -145.

I heard that Piedmont is planning on hiring new pilots this spring. Anyone able to confirm that?

cant confirm it just heard rumors on the line and someone I know who got a request for more information (current hours and if Atp-CTP was finished) from the recruiting team.

I would go out on a limb and say it’s a slim chance approaching zero

Hiring won't happen again for a bit, plus they still have plenty of folks in their pool.

I was more talking about pulling people from the pool, I think it’s slim we will see it in 2021.

Agreed, if anything it will be Q4 of 2021. A lot will depend on summer travel and if demand returns to a more stable “normal”. Hopefully with the vaccines restrictions will be lifted, the international boarders will open up and kids/students can get back to school in the fall. Fingers crossed.

I'm actually in the hiring pool. Just looking for any sliver of hope.
