eventually yes they’ll leave but its not a time limited airframe. Its just a matter of when MX costs outweigh the benefits of having them. But all we are to AA is an expense. At which point that expense is more than they are willing to pay for market share and frequency we shall see.
No chance of 76 seat flying at PDT unless, AA slashes 76 feed from another carrier or scope is negotiated with mainline (probably the worst thing that could happen #voteno) neither of which seem very likely in the next few years.

AirPortal changes, it’s not set in stone. Yes, PDT planes will be parked for good eventually. I think you missed the point of my post or you’re not well informed. Envoy’s 145 won’t get parked, the thought/plan is they trickle down to PDT as Envoy transitions to be a sole 175 operator. This does not mean that PDT grows beyond operating 60 some aircraft at a given time - most likely PDT retires a jet and than gets a jet from Envoy and maintains a consistent number of aircraft at a time. The 145s will stay at PDT until they run out of useful life and than they will be parked for good or sold to other countries where laws are different.
You really think there is an accurate 5 year regional fleet plan at AAG right now? They don't even know what the next 6-12 months holds. None of us do.

My understanding is that within the next 3-5 years, all of the EMB-145s start seeing calendar maintenance inspections that might render them uneconomical.
EMB likely doesn't have the desire or cash to do the aging aircraft studies to prolong the -145.

I would go out on a limb and say it’s a slim chance approaching zero

Hiring won't happen again for a bit, plus they still have plenty of folks in their pool.

Agreed, if anything it will be Q4 of 2021. A lot will depend on summer travel and if demand returns to a more stable “normal”. Hopefully with the vaccines restrictions will be lifted, the international boarders will open up and kids/students can get back to school in the fall. Fingers crossed.
