To be fair, even though they had 750ish pilots last year, 100ish were part of the hiring binge, stuck in the training pipeline, so they have more line pilots now than they've ever had. I think Piedmont is finally well staffed, at least for the winter lull, and they really only have to hire, at most, 20 per month to keep up with attrition. But, the training pipeline accumulator is now empty, outside attrition is increasing, all of the regionals are hungry for pilots, and summer will be here before we know it. It could get interesting.

But times do change and at some point, PDT will have to change, it is inevitable.
The change will come once big daddy AA forces them to. However, as long as PDT is still able to "make it work" and hide all its problems behind the performance numbers then AA will not think, or know, or even care that there are massive problems. I mean, look how PDT management only cares about the performance numbers instead of their own employee's quality of life.

Yeah, yeah, we all know that it has all been said before yet PDT has always been able to kick the can down the road and keep limping along.

It’s below the threshold for 6. I’m sure the company and union will have a meeting about this someday and the extra flow number will become an ace up the sleeve for MK.
