Anyone have the cliff notes from the MEC meeting in PHL today? I’m guessing it’s the “we are trying to work with the company”.

Pursuant to the addendum to the ratified clause of the arbitrated act set forth in paragraph 6 of the LOA released in the year of our lord 2004 we will provide an update to the update we are currently working on.

Oh boy we are blurring the lines of satire and reality.

Hopefully the MEC will give us an update in the newsletter. It’s probably not a good idea to post anything on here...

And just like that PDT dropped below 700 pilots. No wonder they dragged their feet updating the list.

I’m sure if you ask recruiting, Piedmont is doing great. I wonder when they will get the message that things need to change fast.

That’s what makes us great. We do more with less... I think we hit too many of our performance goals last year so they are reducing our pilots incrementally to test the limits of understaffing

To be fair, even though they had 750ish pilots last year, 100ish were part of the hiring binge, stuck in the training pipeline, so they have more line pilots now than they've ever had. I think Piedmont is finally well staffed, at least for the winter lull, and they really only have to hire, at most, 20 per month to keep up with attrition. But, the training pipeline accumulator is now empty, outside attrition is increasing, all of the regionals are hungry for pilots, and summer will be here before we know it. It could get interesting.

The triple premium will be back sooner than later. It’s about to be a real s show unless AA pulls flying from us once the busy season starts.
