I had a CJO from F9 first but by the time they rescheduled my class I had 250 below me on the NK list. Works out better for me base wise anyway however I don’t think either is a bad choice for someone unless your flow date is within a couple years.

Yup.. I'd put the reward of flow at 2.5 years.. that's me personally...
That being said, the legacy may have great returns at the end of your career if you hold out for the flow.
That being said, Piedmont is rough on pilots.... many have broken homes and major problems from the time here as our QOL is absolutely terrible. 2.5 years can lead to health problems, divorce, and economic issues. I've seen the bright and best completely lose their sh!t while they are here. I truly believe our QOL and schedules have big hand in that.
Your mileage will vary. I've always thought money in pocket today is better than money tomorrow.

I sincerely hope the union and management can come together and make some improvements soon.

You're not wrong. To be fair, the reason I left was because the QOL was making me hate my career. Whether that changes at the new place or not remains to be seen, but I know for certain I couldn't do another 4 years at Piedmont until I flowed. Different strokes for different folks though.
I sincerely hope the union and management can come together and make some improvements soon.

Putting effort in to improve Piedmont is asinine. The culture hasn’t changed and there is no change coming in the near future.
Polish up your apps, volunteer (funny joke, with all the time off we have), and run for hills. These next two years are going to be huge for hiring.

Funny enough, I honestly hope PDT struggles to hire. Only then will upper management finally change their tune and realize PDT is not up to industry standards for regional airlines and there is not a single reason for a new hire to come to PDT when all other regionals offer a better QOL.

Yeah, kind of seems like the are attempting to be “picky” with new hire candidates. I guess it takes more than a pulse now to get hired here. That said, we can’t even keep up with attrition, and I ain’t mad. Let’s let it shrink back to triple premium every day and see what they attempt to throw at us next.
