99.9 percent of our crews are great.. we do have some bad apples here.. just like everywhere else. 1 bad apple will spoil the apple pie though.
Stay safe.. take care of eachothers.. enjoy your job as much as possible and continue to fight for qol improvements.

I’m not at Piedmont so I’ll let them answer if they’re happy or not. But I will add that if you go back and read the last 10 pages of this thread you’ll find your answer pretty quickly. You could go to Compass for a LAX base and still have more time at home while making more money even if you choose to stay in CLT.

There’s a lot more to it than pay rates.
First, it’s probably smarter to replace Compass with Skywest since Compass isn’t looking so hot right now. But for the sake of argument we’ll stick with Compass. Im not sure if there’s been any changes since that post was from about 6 months ago, but going by APC it looks like there’s about a $10/hr difference in FO pay.
At Piedmont you’ll only credit 75-80 per month with min days off every month. A lot of their 4 day trips are in the 16 hour range. At Compass if you’ll get 16-18 days off with the same credit. If you volunteer to work as much at Compass as you’re forced to work at Piedmont you’ll credit 100 minimum. More likely in the 110-120 range. Most of their trips are over 20 hours easy. Even if you’re on the lower side of 100 hours that still gives you about $400 more. I would guess you’ll probably still have an extra day or two off more compared to Piedmont.
400 bucks might not be worth it for a cross country commute but me personally would would much prefer the cross country commute with 16-18 days off a month with not that much difference in pay. At this point though I would only avoid Compass because their future is up in the air right now.
No one works harder than the Piedmont pilots. If anybody deserves QOL improvements it’s you guys.

Remember it's not all black & white in terms of the pay rates.
Yes, it is true that PDT has a higher dollar $ / hour rate than Compass.
However, what the guy posting was trying to express is that at Compass you would credit more hours/month and also have more time off than if you worked at PDT.
So in reality, you would make more money because you would credit more hours per month and also you would have more days off per month as well. The dollar $ rate of what you are getting paid becomes nil if you can credit more and work less.

New hires usually only focus on pay rates. I don’t blame them, because I did that too. But now that I have a few years in I realize pay rates are only 25%-40% of a factor in choosing a place to go.
I’m at PSA. Even though my pay rate is within just a few dollars of Endeavor and Republic, I would be making 20k-30k more with similar days off at those places because their trip credits and work rules are so much better. But I’m happy where I’m at because I’m close to flowing and we have great schedule flexibility.

Exactly. It’s the flow currently that has a lot of people stuck at each of the 3 WOs. PDT use to have the fastest flow - and for some already at the airline it still is (NOT NEW HIRES).
I honestly cannot for the life of me see a reason for a person looking to get hired by a regional to pick PDT today. PSA is a far superior option if you want a WO. And if not, than Endeavor, Republic, and Skywest are vastly better options than PDT as well.
It’s simple, work less, have more flexibility with schedule and QOL, oh and make more money. PDT does not currently offer anything better than anywhere else, in fact it is far below industry standards.
