MK has been in the business a long time. Unfortunately he has dealt with the best and worst in the industry.
What ever your story is, he had heard it a 1000 times before. Always be honest and follow the the FOM, AOM and CBA. When you F@CK up, admit and be honest. He will have your back 1000 percent if you follow those rules.
He has a job as a manager, not your friend.
If your ****ed about our QOL the only people you should be ****ed at are keefer, Hogg and AA management. After that you should be ****ed at yourself for not being somewhere else if your more than 3 years from the flow...... or whatever that number is for you based on your individual circumstances.
Piedmont will change, it is inevitable, but don't blame MK for the way it is or will be. It is way over his pay grade.

And to answer the question above on who will replace him in his CP position? My answer is nobody. His title of “Regional Chief Pilot” was kind of a BS title/position that was specifically created for him when he got canned from PSA and came back to Piedmont. He couldn’t be a “real” Chief Pilot since he can never fly again. Besides, we have JP in PHL and BF in CLT, so we don’t really “need” another one..... unless our DCA base opens up! (Just kidding).
The better question is, did PDT even advertise the position of DO to the public or internally to anyone else? Or is this typical PDT and “Business as usual” and they knew what they were doing when they took Kernan back a couple years ago after the PSA debacle and knew Pike would be retiring. My thoughts are definitely.
I hope for the best, but I don’t expect any QOL improvements (better schedules) in the foreseeable future.

The position was listed a little while back. The writing was on the wall. MK came back because PSA wouldn’t make him a DO. Him and Pike probably had this planned out since he came back.
