After the semi-annual Seniority list adjustment 730 pilots are on the list including 9 new hires for July.

There were 742 in June. Accounting for the 6 flow that is a net loss of 15 to retirement or resignation.

Prob includes a number of flows that have now passed all aspects of training at AA and fallen off the list.

Speaking of flows, what is the magic number of pilots on property we need to flow 6/month? Dont have the contract in front of me but I thought it was 1 flow/125 pilots on property

It's 3 flows per month plus 1 for every 125 we are over 350. So over 475 to flow 4, over 600 to flow 5, and over 725 to flow 6. If/when we drop below 725 pilots on the seniority list, (per the company's interperatation of the contract) we will drop to flowing 5 a month again.

This will do wonders for morale. Oh wait morale is already in the toilet, hmm can we set the bar lower?

If the flow goes down it will only make even more people leave making the recruiting problem even worse. I highly doubt they would do that...

Someone posted a while back that we are protected from dropping to a lower flow rate. Like to know how true it is though. Granted, would not be a smart move as it may make more people leave sooner.

If you read over the LOA for the flow it doesn't have any protections against the flow rate dropping. The union said they have "notes" or something from when the flow was written where the "intention" was to protect against it, but if it's not in the LOA then I can't see it being taken as gospel. But you're right, it would be a very bad move on the company's part to actually drop the flow rate.

Even with our new pay rates, we shrunk 12 pilots this month even after counting the July new hires.

I told y’all raises weren’t going to change anything.

Keep waiting. It’s going to get worse. They are going to have to come back to us....to keep their jobs.
