There’s plenty more waiting in the sandbox, I’m sure.

Yeah. You should stick it out for those E190s coming our way. Instead of going to Spirit.

Something about a sick out, massive beach party and MS showing up to crash it

So how exactly is this a pay raise with no concessions? FOs are taking a pay cut by losing the retention bonus. Even at the new hourly rates, FOs make less than they did with the retention bonus.

Hourly rates are better than bonuses. Especially those that stop paying after 2 years. Bonuses end, contractual pay rates do not.

Maybe they should have read up on PSAs pay agreement and considered that before jumping on the #TTMN bandwagon.

Due to the bonus timing structure most were only going to receive 3 payments their first year eligible before upgrade anyways. It’s a wash for most.

Most FO’s upgrade before receiving the entire bonus anyways. Yes, the rates are a wash when you consider the lost bonus, but the raise in year one will equate to an overall raise for years 1-3. It’s unfortunate for those hired in the last year who are just now eligible for the retention bonus, but an overall gain for future pilots. Making this place better for the new guys and gals sometimes means we have to take a hit. Just ask those here before the bonus structure was implemented, especially those hired just days before the sign-on bonus was announced. It sucked. Pay rates are better than temporary bonuses, but still a tiny band-aid on a hemorrhaging wound.

PDT has a LONG way to go before they’re competitive in the industry, particularly in regards to QOL. I don’t recommend anyone consider coming here until management addresses these issues with a solid plan to fix them.

Completely agree. Always in favor of higher contractual pay rates, but the bonuses were just as contractual as these new rates are. And the LOA stated that pilots on property would continue to receive the bonus payout even if they were discontinued. This is being advertised as a "raise" for FOs when in reality it is not. I will now make less annually than I did with the retention bonus.

And for those saying most FOs upgrade before receiving their entire retention bonus, typically FOs here are nearing year three before they finally finish Captain training and start receiving captain pay. So that is not accurate.

I really hope you're joking.

We are effectively paid less than our peers due to 50 seat jet rate and horribly inefficient schedules. That's all that matters.
