No it didn’t. And no it won’t.
2016 pay raises AND announcements to get a bunch of new(to us) jets, AND a (TRUE) 5 year flow. THAT is what got people in the door.
They don’t have that now. We will just have slightly better pay than now, it still no where near close to being competitive to our peers, with much lower QOL, similar if not worse flow, and announcement of no new planes.
I am on board with a daily announcement of this, but even if a few new hires come, there certainly won’t outpace those on the bottom people hitting the line, then leaving. That is when they will come back with QOL or more money.
But you need to add to the announcement , that even if we get pay raises, the pay will still be much lower (in hourly rates, AND especially in soft pay). And yes QOL is still below industry standard.

My guy that knows a guy told me we’re taking the money.
Paperwork is going to take some time. And for all the non-pilots out there *cough management * it’s a holiday today. I’m sure they are enjoying the day off.
I hope my guy who knows a guy knows more than your guy....
Though it really doesn’t matter today or Friday, as long as it is before the end of May, should get all of May.

I’m hoping so, starting to get more nervous. What I was mostly saying is that I was not worried to not have an announcement on a holiday, and that as long as it is done before May, we get all of May....
Knowing that AND how stingy the company is, chances are they know this too. And though they need it to pass (in their minds to help recruiting and retention) they are probably willing to wait 3 more days to save a months pay increase.
Though I have heard conflicting info from sources. I heard it’s signed by the company, the MEC just needs to sign it. If that’s true...they better sign it before the end of May. 1 month of no raise is bad enough, let’s not make it 2.
No. Not a single concession. They want people to come to and stay at PDT.
They at least know enough to know a single concession is not going to do that.
They think they know enough that this tiny raise is going to make a difference. I can’t wait for them to see how wrong they are and come back to us.
Wait for the hat to drop around July-Oct, and F9 and others hiring pick up again. They’re are a bunch of CJO’s waiting that PDT knows nothing about and will lose a ton of pilots if they haven’t come back with a more serious raise and QOL improvements by then.
All this current raise will do is pay current pilots more, and those leaving in a few months too.
