Piedmont Airlines News & Rumors
Min day or trip rig isn’t QOL, that’s soft pay. It’s possible that if they fixed those issues, the company might be forced to improve days off or more efficient schedules (QOL).
Soft pay is one reason why even if hourly rates were matched, PSA would still make way more and no one would come here...and AAG would come back to the table.
We all knew (thanks to you telling us) you were better than PDT. But now you’re better than mainline? Were exactly do you work?
Are you trolling or just a that much of a Richard?

You did not quote that. True.
However, you have made numerous references to how everyone here must have skeletons in closet and other inferences to your superiority to us. Even before coming here. Which is why you rubbed so many people to wrong way.
Apparently also AA hires anyone with a pulse. So you are superior to them too...

Ofcourse they canceled, but they were unable to fill the slots at the last minute.. most of these ots, this may be the first civilian job they ever had. The hiring pool is very small and many have multiple offers due to their high caliber. American isn't doing large hiring pools as delta is doing.

The hiring pool is the number of qualified pilots with applications on file. Basically virtually everyone applying to Delta also applies to UAL, American and SWA. The pool is still very deep and well stocked. American has no shortage of applicants and your qualifications have to be very strong to get a OTS interview.

Even the money isn't going to help Piedmont attract pilots now. Everyone I know wants to go to Republic. You remember them? The airline that filed bankruptcy because they couldn't get pilots. Will someone please explain why they are so much more attractive now? And what turned it around.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I'm curious to see what the May new hire class ends up looking like. I am honestly not sure how PDT can lure anyone in anymore given that nearly ever other regional has better and more attractive offers for new hires including pay, schedules, equipment (not just aircraft) but like actual equipment, lack of paper, and shorter training footprints.
As we all know, it's a small industry, and any some what savy person does their research and talks to their friends and colleagues. PDT is not exactly cream of the crop in terms of regionals. The best thing PDT is known for is its solid flight crew group of people - let's not lose that when the company clearly has everything to lose in the current situation that's unfolding.

Well, republic would run 3 hours late at minimum, cancell flights left and right and american helped it out by giving it whatever flying it wanted and helped it out with better schedules, improved qol for there crews all while american screwed the w/o's. The same thing american is doing with skywest and mesa, all to the detriment of the w/o's.
If you owned a company that did work on the road, would you consider your workers asking to work four 10 HR. days versus five 8 hour days a reach? There would be one fewer hotel stay, and less time spent in the rooms and more on the job. Is that really a reach? No. It's good business. Piedmont is light years behind in scheduling training, and work periods. More efficient schedules helps both parties.
Unreal.
