So MK is telling pilots in CUT that ALPA should be taking the money, LH the CEO, yes the CEO is in the PHL Crew Room saying ALPA should take the money, the seniority list hasn't been updated in months, rumors are flying around like crazy about no one showing up for interviews and you want to #takethemoney?
Yea, because this isn’t an us (Pilots). vs. them (PDT management). This is pilots vs AAG...and management is in the worst case job losing position. They don’t care about pilots, they just want to keep there job. That is why they beg us to take it, and they are so near sighted, they think it will help....like some of you seem to think. It won’t.
Yeah let's #takethepay because I think it won't help recruiting.. Why don't you reference 2016's pay raise, and yeah I know I know they was more potential here but pretty much anywhere that has rolled out a significant pay raise will get JUST ENOUGH, uninformed pilots to cover staffing. They WILL NOT come back to the table until they need too and honestly if they do it probably wouldn't be for a year.
2019 doesn’t have flow, or growing company, there is even rumors of downsizing if we keep bleeding like this....and if we allow them, equal pay.
I say we let them give us equal pay. We lose no leverage, no one will come here. They aren’t counting the few cadets. They know they “already have them”. They need new real recruits, and to retain more. The fact that that isn’t going to happen with matching rates...THAT is our leverage.

As a result I would propose that we are paid on a blend that contains all AAG owned RJ's. Even ones operated by compass, so we are paid equally.

Completed different. They had a 5 year flow (not a bs one like now) and an airplane order that guaranteed company growth. Even getting in with a bad airline isn’t the worst if it is growing. Quick upgrades were had by many, resume building occurred. 2016 had equal pay, flow and growing company.

MORE OR LESS? If it’s even the slightest 0.01% more desirable and helps get a few more people in the door, WAIT, just hold out. You lose leverage.

Let me reiterate it again, I even used caps once I’ll try one more time... Just because YOU DON’T THINK pay will help recruiting doesn’t mean it won’t. They increase the pay scales that will probable be enough to get get JUST ENOUGH pilots, a few more a month, just to band aid this place together like they’ve been doing for years, next time read the whole thing and don’t take the parts you want out of context. #takethemoney what the heck you think that could possibly do make it more desirable to come here or less?

Even the money isn't going to help Piedmont attract pilots now. Everyone I know wants to go to Republic. You remember them? The airline that filed bankruptcy because they couldn't get pilots. Will someone please explain why they are so much more attractive now? And what turned it around.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Small sample size but during the last 6 days I talked to at least 7-10 pilots about it and everyone said take the money now.
History says APC and airline TA’s are a bad indicator on how the pilot group really feels.
I tend to think the union feels the same way because why not put the pay raises out for a pilot vote then if it gets voted down with a huge NO that’s even more ammunition for the the negotiation team.
