If you weren’t a retread you might be flowing right now and singing a totally different tune.

Not sure what your talking about with “retread” but I’m not going to F9. Had a legacy offer come through. The flow is a joke except for those going by the end of this year. After that it’s only a pipe dream. Expect the flow to slow or stop as staffing trouble increases. Then once a merger happens with Envoy it’s anyone’s guess what happens to piedmont’s flow. For those that will claim the “flow is contractual” we all know how often the company cares about the contract.

I’m an FO with no PIC and have a class with a major airline. No not F9 or NK.

Wow at a legacy?
Congrats, that is very exciting for you and everyone else. Did you know anyone in higher ups or just applied and successfully interviewed?
I'm sure you're stoked

didn’t we stop hiring at around 725 or 750? or was it 650 i can’t remember. But I am pretty sure management doesn’t want piedmont to grow as big as envoy or even reach psa size anytime soon. All this talk about making piedmont more appealing to attract more pilots is a mute point if there is going to be a hard deck on how many pilots we have on site, which is another reason I think that the company is going to give the pilot group anything other than a raise. Just my 2 cents worth.

So we know it wasn’t your quals that got you hired. Do you admit luck in the pull? Or is there another reason? Since you weren’t a candidate in the middle of the bell curve. most would simply wish us luck and be happy to leave. And then some need the feeling of rubbing it in.

Go go away mad... just go away.

Not rubbing it in. I just see so many people, especially on here, that are so wrapped up in the flow many of them don’t even have applications submitted. Those that do, there’s probably a lot of poor attempts at a solid package cause they’re to in love with the flow.

Also anyone that is strictly concerned with just increasing the flow is doing so for their own self gain and not to better piedmont for the other 600+ that aren’t flowing in a year or less. Even a true 5 year flow for a new hire today is a joke as that person will be hired off the street before.

So on the 18th (11 days ago) you were starting threads about deciding between spirit or frontier and actively debating on the two, and you’ve since interviewed and gotten an offer at a major as an FO? And then you’re on here bashing those of us who like the flow. You’re life is quite interesting pal

Yeah, a retread. As in, you came from another operator.

You were searching around for the best company for you to become a DEC in spring of last year. That begs the question, did you just decide to stick it out in the right seat at PDT even though you came here during the DEC "era"? You think the flow is dumb, but you made a decision that would make you far less marketable to get hired outside of it?

The alternate being, you came to PDT as a DEC (all signs point to this, your post history is easily searchable) and are now going to Spirit since F9 promised you a spring class and keeps kicking that proverbial can down the road. And you're just here to act all high and mighty for whatever reason.
