Not wanting to add more rumors, but I can just see ROA becoming a jet base as the Dashes retire. Maybe the jet will do the dash flying out of CLT when the Dash is gone so why not just keep it in ROA? Who knows but I think it'll be some time before we see a new base.

Because american only wants hub bases. Straight from the management. I think it might be SBY base closure. New updated number of jets coming to PDT and what not isn't really big news. Either way we pilots don't make decisions. We just bend over and take it

I'm sure it will be good news for the group. Whilst you all are bickering the merits of technology and our schedules, aircraft are being added without you even knowing it. In the past few months, our allocation has grown from 30 confirmed to now 35 confirmed tails. I've said this before, but slow and steady is a win for all of us, even for you impatient ones. Canada flying (with overnights) can already be found scheduled with a quick search for a flight next year on AA.com. As far as bases go, RDU seems to be the one that sticks out above the others. Think TSA, and where they fly the 145's they have. Also, start thinking Expressjet and the flying they do for American. Flights through DFW you say? Time will tell...

1. A lot of good things are happening at Piedmont.
2. No matter how you slice it, our schedules are extremely inefficient and I don't need to repeat why
3. Pilots are a bunch of whiners. We complain. Don't tell me you have never "bickered" about anything whilst working in this aviation industry. Still If i had to do it again and I'd still come to Piedmont.

Yes. It is a little hard to hear when a new hire starts to complain about little things. They really have no clue how good they have it now. I still try to be supportive when I fly with one. We are in this together.

Does anyone know the exact date in September when I have to start going to an actual gym for lifting?

when i talked to SK he was all about RDU. Makes a lot of sense... ez commute.. American international flying and growing. Way to get planes into the south.

He also said don't be surprised if something happens with ORF.

TSA has an rdu base for AA with their 145s. They also do a lot of dca flying and they've been saying there for months they are getting a dca base. So I could see us at either of those places. But TSA's contract does not expire with AA for at least a year and a half, so I doubt we will be taking their routes, airplanes, or bases any time soon.

My money is an announcement concerning an expanded fleet plan and possible some additional pay incentives. Though I'm praying for dca. Because driving to work... I do miss that.

Where is this "announcement" even coming from? I haven't heard that this was even a thing other than APC. Also.... Did you three plan on wearing aviators in that picture on that update? haha
