makes sense.. subtract the people also leaving the company out of that 677. still a lot of years

Class of 6 NHs yesterday. Apparently that’s all they could get.

PDT won’t see flow increase from growth of the pilot group for a long time if ever.

Might not be too long before upgrades stop because they can’t afford release FOs from the line for 6 months to replace a departed captain while they wait 11 months for NHs to complete training to replace the upgraded FO.

That happened already. The March 11th upgrade class was cancelled yesterday because they could not cover the trips.

Interesting update to the pilot list. Total count fell by 13 pilots even after adding 6 new pilots. I'm in the upper third of seniority and I still moved up 12 numbers. People are rightfully getting fed up and leaving.

I wonder how long the company can tolerate this before having to pony up some improvements, as they seem to be struggling now to even hire to cover attrition.

As long as AAG does not care. Which is going to be a long time.

Attrition is only going to increase.

If PDT shrinks too much they’ll just absorb the pilot group and planes into Envoy and become Piedmont Ground Services...

Union leadership has been working on DOH SLI language with flow protections for PDT Pilots recently. Wouldn’t be surprising if that came with fences for aircraft/bases.

Long term this would be a good development. One step closer to reestablishing eagle as it once was.

Add the CPZ planes in LAX and we should pretty much be there.

My concern is that the company is trying to get back under 725 pilots.

Wouldn’t be a surprise at all. Likely going to be the only option as hiring picks up even more other places and people get tired of waiting for the flow carrot.
