Newstick189 At the end of the day I just think some people want to see more serious change is all. Maybe you are right, maybe you are too optimistic and have set your expectations low, and if that's the case then it probably upsets some people. PDT needs a unified pilot group who will not reward insignificant changes with optimism, and who will not accept living with low expectations. Demand something better and get what you deserve NOW.

One thing I've noticed, is that the lines are now being built with the interface being loaded up from the month before. It used to be more rare to see a carryover trip start late in the month and go into the next. Now a large number of lines carry over. This makes it look like the bid has more days off, but really just hides the fact that you're going to lose those days next month (or lost them this month from last month's carry-over).

It’s half truth. They still flowed, but forms were forgot/late, so they made the end of month class as opposed to beginning of month class.
It really only effects them directly, as they are unfortunately 30 people or so less senior then they should/could have been.
The companies way of saying “thanks for 8ish years of service, let me stick it to you one last time.”

The only reason this place continues to function is because the underlings (flight crew, dispatchers, most of the schedulers, and about 1/3 of the ground crew) actually want to do a good job and care enough about our passengers to try to get them where they're going, smoothly, and on-time.
Despite all the b_tching, most of which is justified, the very large majority of us don't take our grievances out on the passengers. Despite all the sand that management throws into the gears, we keep pushing through it for the benefit of the flying public and nothing changes. As they say, nice guys finish last.

If so, both are already union-involved. Simultaneously, neither is in a position that they should be commenting on flow issues.
So, I fail to see your point.
What I do know is that one of those two has done an incredible amount of volunteer work on behalf of the group already. One hasn't, to my knowledge, done a damn thing but record a campaign video.
Do correct me if I'm in error.

With the amount of open flying right now this seems like it was done on purpose.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't BL and Jorge both committee members?

The point is the deafening silence by the MEC on all issues
And the unwillingness to try someone new. BL is doing good in scheds. Why change that unless there is some reason. Why does he need two jobs? This isn’t little ole pdt anymore.
