There was the same talk here at Envoy 8-9 months ago, but the numbers of people leaving didn’t support the rhetoric.
You’re in exactly the same botbas Envoy. Nothing will change until classes can’t be filled.
Assuming EDV picks up their hiring again, along with spirit and a few other bottom feeders in the next 6 months, you won’t see any shortage of applicants for at least another year from now.

Imagine this...
You just finished what you thought was a 4 day trip with two days off, and one flight home that you can make that isn't either oversold or full or nonrevs that used their D1 pass to get on or are mainline pilots who listed for the jumpseat 6-9 days ago. You pull into the gate, turn on your phone, finish your parking and securing flows and checklists and your phone rings. "Heeyy baby we got plans fo' you!" A Memphis turn. 4.5 hour block. You'll miss your flight home and now oh btw since it's Sat afternoon and the Eagles are at home tomorrow all the hotels around the airport and the Linc are like 2-300/ night. But you, being an enterprising pilot, find a 2.69 star motel that is "only" $130 for the night but it doesn't have an airport shuttle. So now you've gotta Uber. And the hotels' printer is down, but they can "email you your receipt asap sir" for your reimbursement from the company. On Monday...afternoon...when you're getting ready to commute back to Philly the next morning and arent thinking about submitting a reimbursement/pay adjustment/I still have no idea what form we would use for hotel receipt submisssions to the company. How many days would the company have to reimburse us again?
Remember last year we all did that survey for the union about what we wanted them to get from the company during TA negotiations? What the ******* happened to that?
There's supposedly a major pilot shortage affecting the regionals, the company can't staff the flights, though training classes are full, and the best "our mec" could come up with is this?! It's almost as if MK and PJ in SBY wrote it themselves.
Hell to the naw is right. Not just no, hell no.

As an Envoy guy I hope that you all know that we are behind you in your fight for a better contract. Bringing you up to our abysmal pay rates isn’t good enough. We all deserve to be compensated like the professionals that we are (except the PSA guys who voted yes, the can choke and die).

Let’s be realistic, where are people going to go that are 2+ years deep? Sure a handful will goto EDV, and some to Spirit.

Heard the recruiters at oshkosh are still selling a 5 year flow... someone should sue Piedmont D.B.A. and AAG for this. This is egregious and false claims that seriously harm a person's career growth and future financial income.
Although maybe the recruiters know 300 people are resigning after seeing this bs off from the company.

You’re grandstanding stinks because you yourself won’t leave, you’re just hoping to wind up enough other people to leave to effect change on conditions.

I’m just saying numbers don’t lie. A very very small percentage are leaving WO’s for anything other than flow/legacy.

Even though I flow next year if i can get myself into a better situation today, I would take it in a heart beat.
I've seen how this company has used LOA 12 signed 4 years ago, which was written and signed in good faith prior to part 117 implementation to prepare the pilot group and company for tighter duty constraints of 117 be exploited and misconstrued.
Recently the management group has used the language in said LOA to void the first two points of CBA 12. Now the pilot group is being forced to work 7 day trips. There is nothing forcing them making trips longer as long as they are part 117 legal such as 30 hour rates in eri. No longer can a day be no more than 14 hours and we can be deadheaded and have a 20 hour day.
This management is very good at using all intentioned LOAs against the group. Unfortunately...
I'm sorry for the gripping and grandstanding. I do not know your situation at our sister company but will tell you that its less than rosy here right how.
I also know that any real changes that will take effect at the WOs still not occur to long after I'm gone.

That is not my intention to grandstand. I'm sorry if it comes across as i do. I have a year left here and I truly hate seeing people taken advantage.

I just find it funny that 99% of the time the guys that jump on here and scream “vote with your feet”, are too chicken**** to do it themselves, in essence just trying to thin out the queue ahead of them as well as try to get management to notice and force improvements.
You said yourself, short of another legacy calling you, you’re not going anywhere.
