I think we just had a Captain leave for either UPS or FedEx.

We should achieve our next critical milestone of 725 pilots on property by end of year.. very exciting stuff.
Spoke to one of the Piedmont Recruiters recently. They had a few folks recently drop out of training slots at the last minute and got those slots filled from their pool... which is pretty deep... they're projecting that the earliest class date they may be able to offer folks later this month is November and are limited to one class per month due to training center limitations.

That captain left for UPS.. Great person! They taught me so much.. also losing another to delta I just found out. Another great person and hell of a pilot! I keep on moving up!

The hiring gates are really opening up.

Well...I'd say if you were a female or dentify as one with 3000 hours you'd be light years ahead in the process against a male check airman with 6000 hours. Too many of the latter on file to play equal opportunity
bingo. HR is always looking for a coverall.

I knew quite a few white males hired at Delta with <3000 TT civilian at Delta, so I'm sure there's a lot more than just gender to differentiate applications. Get involved with ALPA, do more than just be a line pilot, volunteer for a charity/cause you believe in, go to job fairs and network. There are more than enough ways to stand out rather than just fly the line and claim others are moving ahead because of a minority status. With the number of positions available at major airlines, we all have an equal shot at a higher paying position but it is up to you (collective, not individual) to distinguish yourself.

Just my $0.02, and we all know how much that's worth

I have heard Piedmont will no longer allow pilots in the recruiting department. Any truth to that MK?

I don't know that.. that would be news to me.. but there are lots of opportunities.. lots of alpa committees that get you face time with other companies as well.

Plus there are so many opportunities to get involved here..
