Anyone who thinks the regionals won't be here in 5-7 years or even 10-15 is living in a fantasy world. Classes are full, the aviation universities and other flight schools are at full capacity, majors are beginning initiatives to hire pilots who are still in college, and the pilot supply remains large. There is no pilot shortage.

Go read a few of the monthly DOT air carrier reports. AAG has serious problems... I’m surprised anyone would buy a ticket on AA with the abysmal performance.

AAG does not have problems. They are making decisions that any responsible company should make when one of their uncontrollable expenses rises significantly in a short period of time and causes them to cut profit forecasts. I would be worried if they weren't looking ahead making proactive financial decisions. As long as fuel continues to rise, this will continue to be a problem for the entire industry that all airlines will have to react to.

They have a 250 pilot training bubble at this regional. They have a large training bubble on their side and are getting short on their staffing needs. They have no replacement for the four the s80 flying. They are feeling aloft of pressure from dixie and atl behind their earnings growth.
When parker and isom cash out... which they will do soon ... expect the poop to hit the prop.

Easy now...maybe they were on SOE or otherwise. I've heard some dudes flying some pretty large metal be quite awful too. Missed calls, enough "with you" to choke a horse, etc...

You’d never find me laughing or commenting about someone struggling on the radio. We’ve all been there. That wasn’t this guy’s problem.
