I bet we stay at 56 for a while but IMO it’s pretty clear that going forward AAG wants all its WO’s To be single type airlines.
Envoy 175’s
PSA CRJ’s
PDT 145’s
Now one could argue on how many 50 seaters AAG wants to keep online in the future. I don’t see them going away anytime in the next 4-5 years. (AAG is always 2 steps behind the times)

I don't think that's necessarily true. I don't think there is enough wiggle room left in AA scope to allow ENY to have all 2700 pilots flying 175's. I think from a cost standpoint they're trying to ensure each WO has their own type of aircraft to maintain for cost synergies. However, ENY is an expert at the 145 at this point so I don't think they give them all up.
Remember, these jets have 5 years roughly left on them before they are cycled out. The future is as clear as mud, but we're in a prime position to hire to cover attrition at this point and let our training backlog finally catch up to the jets we brought on board. It's my belief that is what we will probably do for 2018-2019.

It’s not going to happen overnight but I think that’s the long term goal. However talking about long term futures of regionals is pointless since again IMO the whole industry will probably be down to 4 or 5 large regionals.
Sooner rather then later (unless a major event happens) regionals will no longer be able to keep up with attrition no matter what they offer. This is all ready happening at some shops.

This is the truth. We grew almost 400 pilots just on the flow and jets. That has to dwindle before any significant gains are made. Too bad so sad.

How fast the pilot group stopped asking about the negotiations is telling. I haven't heard anyone mention it in nearly two weeks. Maybe if we stopped rolling over.....
I apparently hurt some feelings on here sticking up for what we deserve. If we don't put up a fight, it will never change

I could only imagine this new LOA will contain nothing but minor changes to things that are QOL issues such as interface and schedule efficiency. I sincerely doubt we will be able to pull wages above our WO peers. And the worst part, if we vote no? I doubt our situation changes. Classes are STILL full and people know damn well our schedules are terrible, our pay is bottom tier, and our future isn't as bright as the other WO.
So yeah, there's not much to talk about. There's also nothing to roll over on because we're in a system that prevents us from being able to make tangible changes in such a short time frame. The best thing to do is keep potential newhires informed about what is really going on here so they can make informed decisions. Maybe over time that will yield the change.
