MTP Questions answered
[QUOTE=tattooguy21;2368365]Hello, I'm a military RW guy who's going to interview with Envoy and psa next month. I can't interview with Piedmont until 6 months from my possible start date due to PDT policy on CJOs.
I've read about all the airlines, feel I know the pros and cons of each (as much as a layman can.)
The only thing I haven't seen is....
1) where is the rtp teaching conducted for the initial FW training.
2) what is the timeline/process for those on the program once their 250 hours of ME/C/I time is obtained?
I've been able to find this regarding the other two airlines, but not pdt. If I missed it in the forums, please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
Indeed we do have a 6mo requirement as we want to ensure that you are prepared to start training ASAP. We know things change on both sides of the track and want to ensure you are making a firm commitment to Piedmont.
Unlike the other two carriers, we offer 3 training locations so that you have the ability to stay as close to your family as possible. We understand that you have most likely been deployed or have been away from your family and want to make the transition as easy as possible for you and your family. The locations are Infinity Flight Group in Trenton, NJ NexGen in SDF/LEX and SkyWarrior in PNS.
Once you obtain your required flight hours, which vary from pilot to pilot. We send you to ATP/CTP in DFW which we pay for. We then place you into the next avaialable new hire class. The timeline is dependent on how much time you need to build, the time you need between training and ATP/CTP and the available class date. In full transparency, we are now hiring into our Sept and Oct Classes. Yes we are that full.
If you have more questions please reach out to Tyler or Talia at [email protected] and we can get quotes together for you. One thing to keep in mind, we have the ability to help you cover the entire cost of the program without having to use your bonus money. We also have programs to cover your living expenses. Hope that helps.

Not sure why someone wouldn't show.. you get bonus money, travel benefits, and a little time off with a pay check.. why wouldn't you show? As far as I know they have had the max they can bring in of 26 every month ad everyone is showing. We should achieve our next critical milestone of 725 pilots on property by end of year.. very exciting stuff.

There is no pay between your job offer and the first day of class.

You actually get full pay, your first bonus check AND travel benefits while you wait for Sims. There was one no show in my class because he was coming from Europe and got delayed and he was replaced. So it's possible to get an earlier class date. Training is trying to increase class sizes but not sure when that will happen.
