No, DECs are paid as FOs until completing training.

kool. FO's who have made the company money for the past (insert time here) and put their time in with the company get paid FO pay while sitting 5 mo in training. Meanwhile DEC's haven't done anything, and get CA pay.

Negative... They are paid as CAs from day 1. They are hired as CAs they are paid as CAs. Again its part of the new DEC program. You had to be hired as a DEC not transitioned for it to be that way. Basically if you got paid the DEC bonus you are paid as a CA from Day 1.

The only mixed info is because people are repeating what other people thought it should be and not the actual info from the new DEC program or asking the people that actually know.

Even PK from ALPA didn’t realize DEC’s get CA pay from day 1.

Envoy just signed an LOA that states you get CA pay once awarded captain instead of fed ride. Hopefully piedmont ALPA can negotiate something similar.

So shouldn't there be bypass pay for those that have been awarded CA and hold CA on the permanent bid and that are senior to the newly hired DECs that are getting CA pay from day 1?

You'r all wrong, we had a few Dash DECs.

Lahey, of course guys are getting hosed when they're making the company money, it's the PDT way. Those DECs are also gonna far outearn you as a CA. I love it
