I also find it funny how 3 disgruntled pilots think they make the rules on an Internet forum. Bet they’re a real pleasure to fly the line with.

Yes, we are not other airlines...we are other airlines 15 years ago...trying to grow. We are one of the last major turboprop operators to transition. That presents s host of issues that all airlines experience as they grow and change. That's business folks, and some dont understand. Improvements will come in time and in stages as needed. That time isn't here just yet, so I would look very carefully at any gains we might get soon. You may not get another chance for awhile. That is how the real world works.
I’ll vote NO to bs “improvements”. I’m not greedy, get with the rest of the regional world or have fun operating with a tired and ****ed off pilot group.

And you're not "wrong" to do so. There are no guarantees however and my point is that you have to weigh it all out. I strongly believe the vision many have will happen in several events, not just one huge improvement.

You just sound like the typical disgruntled regional pilot thinking the grass is always greener somewhere else.

Funny story about republic.

PDT crew sitting at gate waiting to go:

Unknown pilot. Enters flight deck throws jumpseat form on console and proceeds to get jumpseat out from stowage. States. I have the jumpseat today.

Capt and FO both look at each other like. Ookaaay?

FO says sounds good, who are you with?
Unknown FO: Republic Mainline!

Both PDT guys kind of laugh it off.
PDt FO says never heard of em

Rep FO says you know. Republic. We fly 175 and park in the mainline gates. So we’re like mainline.

True story. Do you doobs teach etiquette at that place? I give the crew a round of applause for restraint on that one. Jumpseat coordinator would have been called if that was on my ship. And the kid would have found another ride

The story is much more entertaining when triple time Kenny tells it

Just saying. Sometimes reputations are earned.

I’m good with no guarantees. Sometimes you have to turn up the heat to make the object you are working with more malleable. I’m not greedy, Mngmt shouldn’t need a contract to make things more efficient for themselves and for the pilot group. Our flight attendants I heard are eligible for food stamps. That’s a new low I hadn’t heard of prior to here.

Many airlines have a Min days off of 12-13. Doesn’t mean all lines are built to mins. PDt sees it as a goal not a limit. Unfortunate they work that way

I expect an email today from MEC. One would think a yes vote from them and it would be ready. Or a no and an explanation

As someone who has been here so long, I am truly disappointed to see you roll over so easily. Maybe it's the old Piedmont mentality to accept less than you're worth. Go ahead and vote that way but I certainly won't and I hope enough people here have the foresight to do the same.

Ahh the classic "young people are lazy and I worked harder than you" mentality. Tired is working manual labor while raising three kids, not flying a turboprop that everyone fetishizes unnecessarily.

'The children now love luxury; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are tyrants, not servants of the households. They no longer rise when their elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize over their teachers.'

-Socrates, sometime in the 300s BC. I personally can't wait to call my children and their peers sh!theads.

"Happy at PDT".... are you management? Come on man, I respect you but I might be sick. While we are fighting for desperately needed improvements no less.

I find it funny how some Repugnant pilot shows up thinking he has a say in anything we are discussing here. You clearly think Repugnant is better or you would be here. OR you couldn't stomach flying anything that isn't brand new. I could care less about your decisions, I suggest you adopt a similar mentality.
