I would honestly plan 7 to 8 years for a new hire right... I know when they first got the flow, recruiters sold the flow at 3 to five years... will be 4.5 to 5 years for those hired early 2015 and those will be the shortest times at pdt.. all others the numbers increase exponentially. For any new hire... spirit, jet blue, Allegiant and frontier are better options than waiting for the flow... you will make more money over your career and not have the terrible qol that we live with daily..

Over the last three months combined, 24 pilots have fallen off the list, including those that flowed.
Some of those pilots had previously bypassed the flow. So, even though the bottom of the list moved up 24 places, the bottom of the list only got 20 places closer to the first opportunity to flow. Fifteen of those 20 flowed, so the total effective attrition outside the flow, over three months, was 5 pilots (1-2 pilots/month).
Some of the 5 pilots that left before the flow were pretty low on the list. A pilot that started the three month period in the dead middle of the list only got 17 spots closer to flow. So, from the middle of the list, the effective attrition outside the flow, over three months, was 2 pilots (0-1 pilots/month).

Not only will hiring pick up, but 3/4 of the list has been on property less than three years. Even if the hiring stays the same, the amount of pilots that exceed competitive minimums for the majors will grow organically. Attrition is almost sure to increase.
