I’m just worried that the people here don’t fully understand the implications of a no vote for the sake of bringing management to the table.
The contract clearly says a no vote means the company and union can bring in an arbitrator to mediate the negotiations and provide recommendations.
Then it says the next time we can open any further arbitration is June, 2019, and the arbitration has to be be “cost nuetral” to the company. There is nothing short of striking that could force the company to the table. I think the only real thing that will drive a pay raise is the market.
If it’s anything good I will vote yes. I am here for quality of life, I do think the captains deserve a significant raise though. I was stoked to hear the rumor of 13 days a month off. I think the pay raises will come on a wholly owned scale versus what we’re going to do on our limited negotiation.
Endeavors TA isn’t so earth shattering in my opinion. They don’t have premium open time like we do and they just rolled their bonus into an hourly rate. Obviously I’d rather have what they have but it’s not like it’s black and white from where we’re at in the total scheme of things.

Although I haven’t started yet I want to see captain pay match 145 captain pay at envy. Minimum 12 days off and none of that first of the month stuff. Can’t remeber what it’s called. Also would like to see reserve call out move to 2
Hours as well as being able to proffer for open time on reserve.
I know y’all are going to say you don’t have reserve lines but it’s only a matter of time.

Yes, if we pass up a bad offer, we would be saying no to some very very mild improvements. I'm cool with that. Everything about this is a long game. Me being at this airline is a long game. If I wanted the best quality of life I sure wouldn't be here.
Look up the Stanford marshmallow experiment. You guys are the kids who take the instant candy.

I fully understand what a no vote means. You clearly don't understand what a yes vote means.

Guess we will have to wait and see what the TA says. Until then it’s all speculation anyhow.

More resignations floated in... looks like may we will wind up netting a few or zero new pilots when its all over.. we need 725 to increase flow to 6..
Ta or no ta.. i honestly don't see this place able to have more than 500 line qualified pilots at a time.. there are way more attractive options out there with better qol and pay. If your more than a 2 years from flowing you should be thinking why am i here?

Name them... And 9E hardly counts since they aren't even interviewing right now and the soonest someone could be on property is probably 1Q next year. So please enlighten us on all the "way more" options that are out there that are significantly better. Especially assuming PDT's schedules are about to improve.
