What's your start date, for reference? Trying to figure out when I might start...

Fos the same no wait... we have soe captains flying without training anyone. I'm sure that will change now that phx sim is running well abs Atlanta is coming on line.. CLT second sim is coming... they will be able to handle over 50 a month no problem next year as attrrion kicks up..

From my observations of a relatively small sample, i dont think there is any rhyme or reason on who goes to SOE first other than Captains have a shorter wait than First Officers.

Which falls in line with their plan of expanding hiring to 40ish a month towards the end of the year, instead of 20ish, which will allow further expansion of the fleet size... allegedly.

I read that completely wrong. I thought you said you start systems...

I’ll practice my reading skills some more...

kinda agree here

BTW no magic bullet has been shot... until the backlog gets worked down all of the timings just move around a bit. some people are waiting for sims, some are going straight in, some are kicking through sims quickly, some are getting slow rolled and taking a couple months to complete.

It is what it is, and until the additional sim slots open up and additional sim instructors are trained. And until more capacity is there for cranking people through ground to get to sims, delays will remain. Its pretty much simple math here, a 6 week delay in sims does not disappear overnight without making another delay somewhere else.

Thankfully it looks like they are on a path to clean all the delays up, but again it will still take more time.
