BTW no magic bullet has been shot... until the backlog gets worked down all of the timings just move around a bit. some people are waiting for sims, some are going straight in, some are kicking through sims quickly, some are getting slow rolled and taking a couple months to complete.
It is what it is, and until the additional sim slots open up and additional sim instructors are trained. And until more capacity is there for cranking people through ground to get to sims, delays will remain. Its pretty much simple math here, a 6 week delay in sims does not disappear overnight without making another delay somewhere else.
Thankfully it looks like they are on a path to clean all the delays up, but again it will still take more time.
