The flow is a recruitment/retention tool that benefits AA and WO management. Ie. keeping regional feed cheaper by getting rid of more expensive senior pilots and replacing them with cheaper more junior pilots. Also, the flow provides a steady stream of new hires into Mainline which allows less uncertainty during the pilot shortage.

It has a secondary benefit to the pilot groups but has no monetary value. It would be rediculous to even entertain the idea that the flow is worth having second rate pay and third rate QOL... AA tried that a couple years ago and the WOs had massive staffing issues...

Any speculation on what to expect from negotiations and a new TA? Obviously pay and schedules seem to be the two biggest areas for improvement, any others? Should we expect a match of Endeavor rates?

Now is a great time for the industry. Our companies are making some serious coin, and they need pilots to fill seats. I think now might be a once in a lifetime shot for everyone to have their cake and eat it too.

It will never happen because half the seniority list is 2 years from flowing. In addition, American wants the flow to reduce attrition at the regionals. Flows meter attrition and improve recruiting.

Anyone remember when the profit sharing was paid out last year? And what was the percentage? First rumors were something like 10% of Gross, then it was actually 4% of the Net. it’s also taxed at 25% correct? And I think I recall mgt gets 55% for their cut. Awfully generous for sure.

It was free money that AA didn't have to give to the WO. It isn't in the contract and isn't required. Just like the $1000 of "tax money". And yes, we have to pay the taxes required by law. And pilots are still complaining.
