I want Piedmont to stay separate and become a great place to be. #MPAGA (Make Piedmont Airlines Great Again ). Speaking of, aren't the meetings with the union and the company for the contract items beginning today?
You're assuming the whip saw hasn't already started. It's it interesting that all this merger talk is right around the time we do a soft opening for section 6.

Do you also wear a tin foil hat?

There’s a glaring flaw in your theory, which is there simply isn’t the supply of pilots out there anymore.

I don’t intend to sound like an ass, but in the current climate there’s no reason to accept any sub-par contract regardless of any rumors or threats of shifting flying.

No kidding. I'd like to know how they come up with 3 years being a possibility for someone joining now.

Yeah, but 3-5 years is the number I was given for someone hired today. Then again, 3-5 probably means their calculation shows five.

What kind of extra duties can you do in your first few years that might result in an earlier transition to the majors?

I've heard a lot of those jobs take you away from flying and actually slow down your career progression.

I never said there was or was not a whipsaw occurring.

I also have my suspicions about that. By keeping us separate their will always be someone who needs something and therefore willing to accept a weaker contract.

Yes, contract negotiations do start today. I am eagerly awaiting what our union can work out for us.

Personally I think all the WO MEC’s should get together and come up with a common goal/strategy (Better rates and staple the lists to mainline now and just be done with the flow).

Wishful thinking I know.

Yes, I do. It's not my first, second, or third rodeo.

I found that a colander strainer works better than tin foil, much more durable.

Perhaps you’re right, I wouldn’t presume to know. I’ll be quiet now.
