Although it sucks.. the contract was written with that caveat. Soon we will be flowing kids in their 20s... let's say this person breaks their leg the day before their number is called.. they will be medically unable to attend class. If this person can't go they are surrendering a 40 year multi million dollar career and being top 3 in the company. Stuff happens in life, cancer, kids, mental illness/comfortable, etc. The senior people held this company together on their backs, were furloughed, and treated like crap for most of their careers. They have been mentors and friends to many of us that came through the company. They have been union leaders and take phone calls 24 hours a day whenever you have a problem.

Right now with the current contract it's their choice when they take the job, just as it will be for all of us.

Well said my friend! Nobody likes to be bumped from the flow but those senior guys had earned their right to go/no go.

A lot of them think about it, but then consider the sizable paycut, the commute and they get a 1%/year pension bases off YOS if they retire from Piedmont vs AA. Most of those folks would have to have at least an additional $500-750k in the bank to fund their own annuity for a similar pay out... it doesn’t make financial sense to leave the company, no matter how ****ed off they are at scheduling or the transition to the jet.

I wish some of those senior ROA CAs would just hold out for the CLT base opening this summer...

I’ve been at piedmont for about a year and a half and have no intentions of waiting for the flow.

I left pdt back in 13. Sounds like a totally different place now. How long until ROA and SBY close?

"******, you are thinking like Bernie. Which is to say you are not thinking. The Democratic Party died with Kennedy. Who coincidently had Donald Trumps same view on taxes. They March in lock step if you will. "The purpose of tax cuts is not to encourage deficits, they bolster the economy so that one day you may have a surplus" -JFK. You liberals today are just a Gelatinous mass of ignorant socialists. You have no knowledge of history. You do not know how an economy works. But dude good news! If you Socialists are so concerned with the deficit all of a sudden after your messiah Barack Obama racked up over 20 Trillion in debt. more than all presidents in history combined FYI. you can pay as much as you want in taxes! its a gift to the government and its an actual thing. so anything you save with Trump, please, give it back! You wont though, because you are a nothing more than a hypocrite. An ignorant Hypocrite. Pick up a history book. the Liberals are the socialists are the communists. They have always been the enemy. The intent of socialism is communism."

from the PDT facebook page from CA fms video....
