Right now we are in a flow group from an award in 2011 and it was modified in the 2015 Glass screwjob. It's 50% of each AA class meterable to 25/month if needed for staffing. Because our mgmt is saying "future growth!" they are metering even tho we hired like 700 guys last year. This group is the "protected pilots" and runs through October 2011 hires. If they keep metering it will take til end of 2019 to get thru these guys.

We've been sending guys in both classes, doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to how many go in the first and how many in the second. Lately it seems like most Envoy flows are in the first class.

The ulcc will start hiring 1500 hour pilots soon.

Once wall street pockets start to be affected in the next year things are going to get crazy.
Military, JetBlue, frontier, allegiance, spirit, endevour and any regional they prefer since the pilots will leave for somewhere else anyway.

Envoy has the ability to meter the flow (depending on agreement) for all pilots hired before 12/13/14. After they reach folks hired then, their flow is similar to the Piedmont flow (X pilots baseline for a pilot group Y size then and additional flow slot for every Z pilots added to the list)

Don’t think we’ll be increasing it. Not sure if we can afford to lose more instructors/LCA’s than we are already losing to flow. Would be nice though.

In all fairness their original flow was massively undersized. I think they flowed maybe 10 more pilots than we did in 2017 and are nearly double our size.

Glad to hear their flow is increasing, certainly wasn't equal in ratio to our flow and Envoy's flow when compared to the size of the pilot groups. Sounds like a further increase is coming.

I wonder what this will mean for recruitment of new hires at PDT. Before I came here, the recruiters sold the flow HARD, and they were clear that our flow was better than PSA's or Envoy's. I personally know several people who literally came here just for the flow, some even commuting. A lot of those who interview here also interview at PSA. Now that PSA will have a more competitive flow rate, along with far superior QOL, nicer aircraft, and increased growth, it will be interesting to see if PDT can continue to attract new hires over the other WOs.

Don't worry in a few years Piedmont will take on New Aircraft. It's called 'The Shell game.'

In a few years this industry will likely look wildly different than it does today. It’s already changed so much in the past 3 years.

What’s the DOH for flow at PSA? Haven’t been to the E Con in a long time. QOL has increased a metric F ton on that reason alone.
