102 2015 hires

We are flowing 5 a month right now.. Will go to 6 a month with an additional 75 pilots on property. If we can continue to hire that puts us around June to flow 6.

Rumor I have heard.. And this is rumor.. But American 'needs' to increase flow numbers.... Plus with all the hiring this year.. Hold on to your butts!

Get your time.. Get out! I don't see many 15 and later hires sticking around once they upgrade as there is going to be a lot of opertunity outside of the flow.
Can’t believe the upgrade time At AA. The dash 8 was almost as long as the Airbus now. This is gonna be a wild 5 years at all the majors. Already so mint mint for anyone hires in last 72 months. Get in, upgrade, join the Training Dept and get out! This hiring wave is a once in a lifetime chance for this career.
AA might need to increase flow.. Everyone knows it’s years longer than what they are advertising 4 anyone hired today at any 3. AA needs to hire 800 a year for retirements alone. Growth... not a word being used from what I’ve been told. Makes sense AA is actually going to shrink.

AA would have no issue at all hiring 1000 a year off the street. Regionals may suffer but the big four are not going to have issues.

Who are they going to hire from? If they hire from mesa, skywest, republic, etc, they wind up hurting their own regional feed. If the regional feed suffers, the mainline planes don't run at capacity.

The ulcc will start hiring 1500 hour pilots soon.

Once wall street pockets start to be affected in the next year things are going to get crazy.

No direct at Any one person but:

When most people run the #s it makes long term financial sense for folks to take a job at any one of the big 3, FedEx/UPS upto the day they flow, Vs staying for the flow. In many cases depending on age, it makes sense to leave for SWA as well (and perhaps Hawaiian, Alaska and JetBlue if you’re tied to a specific geographic).

Don’t be one of those folks who are content to sit waiting for a flow date no matter how far off you may think it is. Run the #s and make the best long term financial decision.

The flow creates complacency... stay hungry.

Since revised down to 730 next year in a handy dandy graphic (that I unfortunately can't find) - and with min flow rate for all the wholly owned. Posted two weeks ago.

Makes sense. As badly as they were backed up in Training last year I coyod See each class every month having 30 new hires. 60 a mo. Does eagle flows go into the first or second class every month. Pdt has only been 2nd.

I think the large number eagle guys were the ones granted a job under an old contract ... I'm probably wrong
